Grant writing is a skill that can be developed through appropriate guidance, practical tools and continued practice. This workshop is designed for emerging academics who want to build their confidence and develop the knowledge required to pursue research funding opportunities.

Participants will be guided through the grant-development process, from identifying a suitable funding call and interpreting its requirements to transforming a research idea into a clear and persuasive proposal. The workshop will address essential proposal components, including the problem statement, objectives, methodology, work plan, budget and anticipated research contribution.

The session will also highlight common reasons applications are unsuccessful and the importance of mentorship, collaboration and internal review. Participants will leave with practical tools, templates and guidance to support the development of competitive grant applications.
