Securing funding is a critical step for Masters and PhD students to advance their research and academic pursuits. The National Research Foundation (NRF) and external scholarship bursaries offer valuable opportunities for financial support, but the application process can often be complex and highly competitive. To address this challenge, the NRF & External Bursaries Workshop has been designed to equip postgraduate students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the funding landscape successfully.

Facilitated by an experienced academic with a proven track record of securing research funding, the workshop will provide participants with
practical insights into understanding NRF application criteria, crafting compelling research proposals, and effectively navigating the submission process. Whether students are seeking funding for their thesis, dissertation, or research projects, this training aims to empower them with the tools and strategies needed to enhance their applications and stand out in the competitive funding pool.
