In today’s data-driven academic and professional landscape, the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively is a critical skill for postgraduate students. The Data Analysis and Interpretation Workshop is designed to equip participants with essential techniques to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Through a structured, hands-on approach, the workshop will guide students through the key stages of data analysis, including data cleaning and validation, data mining, data visualisation, data summary and analytics, and data interpretation. The skills in quantitative data analysis involves using statistical methods and mathematical models to understand data and answer questions related to “how many,” “how often,” and “how much”. This type of analysis is crucial for making informed decisions, solving problems, and gaining insights across various fields, including science, business, and social sciences for objective, development-driven contributions to knowledge and society
